The AMP will deliver a great opportunity for Canada and the entire region
ICCA announced today during the General Assembly at the 58th ICCA Congress in Houston, U.S.A, that the city of Calgary, Canada will be the host of the sixth ICCA Association Meetings Programme (AMP) on 28-30 June 2021. This will be the first time the ICCA AMP will be held in North America.
The AMP is one of the International Congress and Convention Association’s flagship events, bringing ICCA Members and Association Executives from across the globe together for an open exchange through small-scale networking and interactive knowledge transfer about bidding, designing, organising and promoting international association meetings.
Hosting the AMP in Calgary just two years after the global meetings industry trade association’s 2019 Congress in Houston, U.S.A. will allow ICCA to continue its existing knowledge transfer and association meetings market development efforts in the North American region.

Calgary’s bid was incredibly strong and attracted major support from 23 Canadian ICCA members in addition to the ICCA members represented in the Energy City Alliance.
President & CEO Clark Grue of Meetings & Conventions Calgary said: “We are very excited to host the ICCA Association Meetings Programme here in Calgary in 2021. Welcoming the world’s leading event professionals is an honour for us as a city. We bid on the event because Calgary is a fantastic destination for international associations to host their events. ICCA AMP will be hosted in our downtown convention neighbourhood that is connected to hotels, shopping and restaurants; within a safe and walkable radius. Team Calgary is highly focused on creating experiences which enhance delegate engagement. We are excited to be part of growing the ICCA legacy in our city!”
The 58th ICCA Congress is taking place in Houston, U.S.A., from 27-30 November 2019. This year’s event is the biggest edition of any ICCA Congress held in North America, with 983 attendees from 75 countries in attendance.
