The opening ceremony of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the most important football competition for South American clubs, was organized by an Italian firm: Filmmaster Events.
The company, thanks to its great expertise in the organization of sports ceremonies, including at international level, organized, in collaboration with Touché, a show dedicated to the first final played as a single match in the history of the South American tournament, accomplishing a challenge that was made even more complex when the competition’s venue was unexpectedly changed from Santiago in Chile to Lima in Peru, a decision that was made two weeks prior to the event due to public order problems afflicting the country that had originally been selected to host the event.

The match between River Plate and Flamengo and at the Estadio Monumental was preceded by a show featuring over 300 people involved in the cast and staging, as well as four South American stars, Fito Paez, Anitta, Sebastian Yatra and Tini, who entertained the public and the two groups of fans (Hinchas). The ceremony took the spectators on an emotional journey devoted to the great football passion of the South American people, which culminated in the unveiling of the prestigious Copa Libertadores, a cult trophy hailed by every football fan on the continent.
