We bet you’ve never seen marathon runners wearing helmets and flashlights. The Jamatlon obstacle course is truly something else. The obstacles on the course are mining-themed, from old mining trolleys and tracks to narrow tubes, which you have to crawl through. The organisers change the course every year, so even the veterans never know what’s in store for them. Despite the course changing, everyone knows the organisers have a sneaky asset. The naughty cave elf (Perkmandeljc), who will try to tease the runners.

Taking part in the Jamatlon as a team is a perfect teambuilding experience that will put the camaraderie of your group to the test. Strong team spirit and camaraderie was something miners were known for. All contestants tackle the obstacles together, in teams of 2 to 5 members, a great way to strengthen your group’s problem-solving abilities.

DID YOU KNOW?

The town of Trbovlje gained great historical significance with the opening of the first coal mine in the early 19th century. Coal mining tradition is rooted deep in the town’s history and the Jamatlon provides great insight into those industrial times. Trbovlje also has the highest chimney in Europe, standing at 360 m tall.
