JW MARRIOTT HOTEL HONG KONG CELEBRATES  30 YEARS OF SERVICE EXCELLENCE WITH EXCITING CELEBRATORY OFFERS

It has been three decades since JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong opened its doors as the very first JW Marriott hotel in Asia Pacific, on 27 February 1989. The hotel is celebrating 30 years of excellence in service and culinary delights which have made it a perennial favorite for its legions of loyal guests, both in Hong Kong and from all over the world. To commemorate this historic occasion, the hotel has prepared an array of exciting dining offers and activities to give back to its loyal guests for their continued support and share the celebrations with the community.

“I am extremely honoured to be able to see this strategically important hotel turn over a new page as it celebrates 30 years of service excellence,” said Silvio Rosenberger, General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. “As the hotel enters a new chapter, we continue to enhance our facilities and services, including the recently completed guestroom and executive lounge refurbishment in October 2018, to provide guests with an elevated stay experience at one of the iconic brands in Marriott International’s luxury brands portfolio.”

An anniversary celebration cocktail party was held on 27 February with the honourable presence of the representatives from the hotel’s owning company, senior executives from Marriott International, valued and loyal guests as well as supportive business partners.

Since 2002, in line with the company’s “Spirit To Serve Our Community” initiative, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong has been a supporter of the Hong Chi Association, a non-profit organisation serving people with intellectual disabilities. The hotel has established two centres providing training and employment opportunities for its members, and over the past few years, its pastry team has been working with students from the Association to create delicious cookies for charity sales.

Every Friday in March, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong will be partnering with Hong Chi on an outreach bus tour, visiting major attractions on the island including Central’s Pier 7, Golden Bauhinia Statue in Wan Chai, Ocean Park and Stanley to distribute treats prepared by the students, sharing the hotel’s anniversary celebrations and spreading cheer amongst locals and visitors. Members of the public can win vouchers for two to the hotel’s signature Saturday lunch buffet at The Lounge by looking out for the 30th Anniversary Big Bus and taking a photo with hotel associates, and then uploading it onto their own Facebook and Instagram channels with the hashtag #30YearsJWMarriottHK.

In March and April, the hotel’s multi-award winning Chinese restaurant Man Ho, which has become an icon of the finest authentic Cantonese cuisine in Hong Kong, will present a special menu of classic dishes created by its top chefs over the last three decades, curated and reinterpreted by Executive Chef Jayson Tang. Highlights include creations by the restaurant’s first Executive Chinese Chef Simon Chui Wing-yee, such as the aromatic pan-fried kuruma prawn with lemongrass sauce and steamed rice with mud crab meat and roe. Chef Keung Wai-ping, who has been with the restaurant since its opening, will be presenting his signature deep fried and sautéed mandarin fish with citrus sauce.

Other dining outlets at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong will also present special offers with the theme of “30” throughout the month of March, as a token of appreciation for the outstanding support from its loyal guests and customers over the last 30 years. A celebratory free-flow beverage package at $30 HKD will be offered at selected daily buffets at The Lounge and the JW Café.
