St. Martin’s Day
The St. Martin’s Day celebration in Maribor is the largest open-air celebration of its kind anywhere in Slovenia. Every year the event brings together several thousand visitors who enjoy traditional Styrian wine and cuisine.

Each year no more than a hundred bottles are filled with the wine from the oldest vine in the world that grows in Maribor. Queen Elizabeth II., Pope John Paul II. and the former USA president Bill Clinton are some of the recipients of this unique wine.
