The previous week, the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić and Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Branislav Nedimović welcomed Apimondia president Philip McCabe and Secretary-general Jannoni Sebastianini at Belgrade to discuss the prospects of holding the Apimondia International Congress of Beekeepers in Belgrade in 2021. Prime Minister pointed out that World Congress of Beekeepers Apimondia organized in Serbia for the first time ever would give a new perspective to all beekeepers in the world and that Serbia will do the best to make everyone satisfied.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (Privredna komora Srbije), with all its members, supports Belgrade candidacy for Apimondia 2021. Great variety of technical visits to beekeepers and field trips will be prepared for colleagues and Apimondia friends so they can experience a Serbian tradition that spread over centuries ago.
